Y’all mothafuckas need science vintage shirt

The reason for this is that there is no standard for aviation lighting apart from red for starboard and green for port.  Therefore, each manufacturer has a standard that no other aviation manufacturer adheres to. The starboard (right side of the plane when facing the front of the plane) and port (left side of the plane when facing the front of the plane) lights are based on naval standards.
