I made sure with him that he had actually found them in the dumpster and not at the back door. He told me that there wasn’t anything by the back door at that time and he wouldn’t steal from a charitable organization. They threw them away! WTF? Those “crystals” were diamonds and the “gold tone” was actual gold. They surprised him with the appraisal, it’s a jeweler we know and he knew that my husband wasn’t aware of the value and apparently, I didn’t either and neither did the employees at the store and that’s IF they even opened the box in the first place. It was locked, but the key was still attached to the box.
