However like I mentioned many times alteration work is making the shop little or no money. Often a tailor shop will resist redoing an alteration as so much of the process is relative to things like personal taste and if the client gained/lost even more weight. I know tailor that would rather lose a customer than redo an alteration – especially when they know it’s not worth the client’s time to argue over $50 in small claims court and they know this person is not going to bring them any new business.
