It took until 2016 for me to really dedicate myself to reinventing my wardrobe, driven mainly by having spent a few years at that point in an office job and needing more variety in my outfits. I chucked the Velcro shoes (inadvertently becoming a sneaker fiend in the process), got dozens of stylish shirts in almost every color of the rainbow, bought expensive jeans and chinos, and took to wearing a vintage leather jacket from the 1980s whenever it got cold.
