It’s amazing how in these days of cheap Internet some people still come here expect us to speak Spanish. It happens, believe me. We don’t wear cheap colored shirts, flower collars, or bananas. Forget every stereotype that you may ever have seen about Brazil from Hollywood in the 1940s. Going to São Paulo is pretty much like going to any other metropolis like New York or London. Rio de Janeiro is a bit different, being decidedly less formal, but just dress like you would do at these other cities, if you ever got a vacation there, and you’ll be fine.
