And generic medicine is THE SAME as brand name medicine. Don’t you forget it. In fact, I probably don’t even own the NyQuil and have the generic Walgreen’s version. This is also chemically true. Generic versions usually just don’t filter out harmless enantiomers of the compound of interest. The FDA monitors OTC medicines all so closely that the quality difference – if any – is nominal.
