Once it has healed you can use moisturiser to stop it becoming itchy. If the scar bothers you, you can try something like bio oil to try and reduce the scarring. I use bio oil, massage it in, wait for it to dry, then apply cocoa butter, it feels and smells good and stops itching, my scarring is reducing but that might be because time has passed.
